Ginga Boo is proud to present their first UK KIZOMBA AWARDS 2019!
This incredible event is your opportunity to nominate your favourite Kizomba DJs, teachers and artists, promoters in the UK for their achievements in 2018.
Don’t miss this chance to show love to the teachers who mentor you, the artists who inspire you, the DJ’s who keep you dancing all night long and the promoters who work so hard to bring our events together!
The winners will receive a nationally recognised award!
7 Award Categories:
* UK Female Kizomba Teacher of the year
* UK Male Kizomba Teacher of the year
* UK Female Urban Kiz Teacher of the year
* UK Male Urban Kiz Teacher of the year
* UK Kizomba DJ of the year
* UK Promoter of the year
* UK Festival of the year (Full or part kizomba)
PLUS 2 SPECIAL CATEGORIES:
* UK Contribution of the year
* UK Newcomer of the year (This includes new teacher, DJ, promoter!)
Stage 1 – HOW TO NOMINATE – Email your nominations and their category to admin@gingaboo.com with the subject title GINGA BOO AWARDS. You can make a maximum of two nominations per category

Nominations will be EXTENDED to May 20th
The nominees who receive 5 or more nominations will be put forward to stage 2 which is a public Facebook poll.
This will be open until July 15th and the 5 most voted for contestants will be sent forwards into the final!

Once the final 5 nominees for each category have been decided by the public they will reach stage 3!
The final! A kizomba community panel of 5 will choose the winner, using specific criteria. The panel will consist of a variety of people in the kizomba community from veteran DJs, teachers, promoters, photo/videographers, to dedicated students. The panel will be released in July 2019.
It’s time to show the world how many incredible artists that we have in the UK and show our huge love and gratitude to them for all that they do!

Make sure you’re there, cheering on your nominee! We want our Kizomba world to grow and flourish so plan to make this an annual event! Next year we want our award categories to grow as our artists grow and hope to open out the awards to Semba and Afrohouse.
