FAQs for Ginga Boo UK 4-Week Kizomba Kickstart

▪️What should I wear to class?

Dress casually and comfortably—think fitted clothes that allow easy movement (e.g., leggings, jeans, or skirts). Opt for soft-soled shoes or dance sneakers; avoid hard trainers to protect the floor and feel the music better.

▪️Do I need to wear heels?

Absolutely not! Wear whatever makes you feel confident and comfy. Heels are optional for those who enjoy the style, but flats work great for beginners focusing on basics.

▪️I’ve never danced before—can I still join?

Yes! This course is designed for absolute beginners, ages 20-65, with zero prior experience needed. We’ll start from scratch, building your skills step-by-step so you feel empowered and ready to shine.

▪️I don’t have a partner—can I join alone?

Of course! No partner required—we rotate partners during class to help everyone practice and make new connections in a fun, supportive way.

▪️Do I need to attend every single class?

For the quickest progress and full deposit refund, yes—aim for all 4 consecutive weeks. But life happens! If you miss one, we’ll share self-practice videos to keep you on track. (See our flexibility policy in the Terms.)

▪️Should I stay for the social dancing after class?

It’s optional, but we highly recommend lingering for at least 30 minutes—it’s the perfect low-pressure way to apply what you’ve learned, build confidence with real dances, and chat with your new dance crew.

▪️Will I have to dance close to strangers?

Your comfort comes first! Kizomba involves close-hold connection, but you set your boundaries—we rotate partners respectfully, and you can always opt for open-frame practice if preferred.

▪️What’s the £27 deposit for, and how do I get it back?

It’s a small commitment to secure your spot and weed out no-shows, ensuring a focused group. Get it refunded 100% after Week 4 by attending all classes and sharing a quick, honest testimonial (short written review + 20/30-second video about your experience). It’s our “trade” for helping us showcase real transformations!

▪️How do I submit my testimonial?

Super simple: After Week 4, we’ll send a quick form. Snap a fun video saying “I went from nervous to nailing Kizomba!” and add a written note. Takes 2 minutes!

▪️ What’s the class schedule and group size?

  • Thursdays 7.30pm 2 hours classes & social (4 weeks)
  • Small groups ( 20/30people) for personalised attention. Location: Casa Ritmo, 64-66 Newington Causeway, SE1 6DF (4-min walk from Elephant & Castle; free side-street parking).
